How long will my heating oil delivery take?

We guarantee delivery within two days during the fall and winter season, from November 1 through April 29, and within four days during the off-season, from April 30 through October 31. If we miss your delivery window, we will credit your account $10.* Learn more about our delivery timelines.

What is the minimum heating oil delivery?

PayLessForOil.com’s minimum delivery is 100 gallons in every city and town we service.

If your tank can’t take the minimum, orders under 100 gallons are billed at $1 more per gallon. Use our How Much Fuel Should I Order chart to estimate before you place an order.

Does PayLessForOil.com deliver to my area?

What happens if my heating oil delivery is late?

Contact us right away. If we miss our delivery commitment for reasons within our control, you’ll get $10 off your next order.

Does PayLessForOil.com offer prime and start services?

Yes. If you’ve run out of oil and need prime and start service, call us at 855-OIL-4LES to place the order by phone. Prime and emergency deliveries carry additional fees.

What do I do if I run out of heating oil?

Call PayLessForOil.com at 855-OIL-4LES. We will find a time for one of our team members can come to your house to complete an emergency delivery and priming. Additional fees will apply.

Do I need to be home for my heating oil delivery?

Usually not. You only need to be home if you’ve run out of oil and need prime and start service, or if your fill pipe isn’t accessible from outside. Those orders must be placed by phone so we can coordinate a time that works for you.

Does PayLessForOil.com deliver heating oil on weekends?

We don’t schedule weekend deliveries, but during cold snaps, our trucks are often out on Saturdays and Sundays to keep up with demand. We never deliver on federal holidays.

How much does heating oil in Western MA and North Central CT cost?

PayLessForOil.com is a pay-before-delivery (PBD) service, with no exceptions. Charging at the time of order is part of how we keep prices low.

What payment methods does PayLessForOil.com accept?

We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. We don’t accept mailed-in payments or money orders, and drivers cannot take payment at delivery.

Can I get a lower price if heating oil prices drop after I order?

No. Your price is locked in when you place your order, not when fuel is delivered. On the flip side: if market prices go up before your delivery, your locked-in price doesn’t change either.

Can my heating oil price change between order and delivery?

Your per-gallon rate is set at the time of order, but because we offer volume discounts, a smaller-than-expected delivery may move you to the next pricing tier.

If the delivery falls below our 100-gallon minimum, we charge $1 more per gallon.

What if I order more heating oil than my tank holds?

You’ll only be charged for the gallons your tank actually receives.

Can I cancel my heating oil order?

Cancellations are allowed only for safety reasons and are subject to a 4% cancellation fee.

How do I check my heating oil level?

Read your oil tank gauge, which works like the gas gauge on your car. Plan to reorder when the gauge reaches ¼ full.

A deep cleaning of the outdoor unit, a check on refrigerant and electrical components, and a full performance test.

Do you offer same-day heating and A/C repair?

Heating repair is available same-day for PayLessForOil.com service plan customers, and A/C repair gets priority emergency scheduling for service plan customers

If you’re not on a service plan, we’ll still do our best to get a technician to your MA home quickly, but same-day scheduling can’t be guaranteed for either service.

Why is an annual HVAC tune-up worth it?

A tuned system uses less fuel or electricity, runs more reliably, and lasts longer. Skipping maintenance usually means bigger repair bills and breakdowns at the worst possible time.

What is an HVAC service plan?

HVAC services plans are an annual subscription that bundles maintenance and coverage for your heating or cooling systems. Our plans include 24/7 emergency service, an annual tune-up, and discounts on repairs. Contact us for current options.

Do I need a service plan to get 24/7 emergency service?

Yes. We offer 24-hour emergency coverage only to active heating service plan holders in Western MA. For North Central CT customers looking for a service plan, please speak to Clean Climate HVAC to discuss their emergency service options.

If I have more than one piece of equipment, do I need a plan for each?

Yes. You will need to purchase a heating service plan for your heating equipment and a cooling service plan for your cooling equipment. Call us, and we’ll walk you through it.

Do service plans automatically renew?

Yes. We’ll renew and invoice your plan about 30 days before it expires and notify you when it’s processed.

Can I purchase a service plan if I rent my home?

Generally, no. HVAC maintenance is usually the landlord’s responsibility. If your situation is different, call us before purchasing.

Are service plans available for commercial properties?

No. Our plans are for residential homeowners only.

If I need service, how do I pay for it?

Payment is due at the time of service. Our technicians process credit cards on site, so please have your card ready when you call. We do not accept cash or checks.

How do I request service?

Call us at 1-855-645-4537 (855-OIL-4LES). During business hours, we’ll dispatch a technician. After hours, plan holders can reach our emergency answering service.

Do you use subcontractors?

As part of FSi Oil Services, we have our own service technicians for our Western MA customers and refer our North Central CT customers to our sister company, Clean Climate HVAC.

Do I need to be an oil customer with you to purchase a service plan?

Yes. To be a service plan member with PayLessForOil.com, you must purchase at least 350 gallons of oil per year from us.
